Our Bubble stays are designed as an escape from the chaos and humdrum of everyday life, allowing you to recharge and reconnect with the natural environment. Sleep under a sky full of stars and watch the northern lights dance from your very own private bubble.

Our Ölvisholt location is situated in a forest close to the town of Selfoss and just over an hours drive from Reykjavik. Here you will get a moment to enjoy the stillness and serenity of a place apart from the rest of the world.

How to get there

We are at two location in South Iceland. The one you are looking at right now is the South Coast location. We also have the Golden Circle location. When you drive from Reykjavik to our South Coast location follow the map below. You will get more detailed driving instruction when you book. We only offer the hanging bubble at our South Coast location.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

Any self-drive stay can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase only. After 24 hours, each booking will be subject to a non-refundable 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations must be received no less than 3 days before start time. The date can be altered, no charge, no less than 3 days before start time.

Guest details

Up to 2 guests per hanging bubble in a 140*200 cm bed. Children under the age of 6 are able to share the bed with the parents.

There is a service house with two toilets / showers guests can use. It is located in a very short distance from the hanging bubble.

Important

The Buubble Hotel is not a normal hotel and there is no formal reception area. There will be a welcoming host meeting you when you arrive and show you the bubble you have booked.

Please note that check-in to the hanging bubble is between 16:00 and 20:00 and check-out time is before 11:00 the morning after. Please respect the check-in times as the bubbles are located on a farmland and our reception hosts are only available to welcome guests between these hours. A late check-in fee of 7.500 ISK will be applied for those arriving after hours.

Please be sure to schedule a time via email or by calling our reception host prior to your arrival and have a working mobile phone so we can be in contact with you.

The hanging bubble is hanging in trees! These trees can move in bad weather especially when it is windy. Therefore it might not fit for people prone to become seasick. 

Not included

There is no food included with this stay. Please note, there is also no food or beverages for purchase on the premises.
